Made by Many apps of the week

Here at Made by Many, most of us are always playing with apps on our phones. Here is a selection of the most recent ones:

1. Squrl [free]: This is sort of like Instapaper for videos. Bookmark, email or tweet your videos to a universal queue, and watch them anytime.

2. Everyday [£1.19]: Take a picture of yourself everyday, and make it into a time-lapse movie.

3. Photosynth [free]: Microsoft (yes, I was amazed too) released Photosynth for the iPhone just a couple of weeks ago. It takes 360 degree pictures and stitches them into one. Pretty cool.

4. Pixamid [free]: A social photo-sharing app that Patrik is experimenting with. It connects with Instagram and other services like Foursquare.

5. Soundtracking [free]: If you follow Tim, then you must have noticed his tweets using this app. Soundtracking 'helps you share the soundtrack to your life': you take a picture, and then key in the music you're listening to at that point.

6. Trimensional [$0.99]:  Calls itself the 'first 3D scanner for the iPhone'. Turn off the lights and use your phone to capture 3D images of yourself - the app detects patterns of light reflected off your face to create the 3D image.

7. The Nightjar [free]: Also released a couple of weeks ago, the Nightjar is a mobile game on the iPhone. Built by Somethin' Else for AMV BBDO and Wrigley, it is a game that 'challenges people to escape a spacecraft with only their ears to guide them'. An audio game, in other words. Sounds exciting, if not very different.

8. Heineken Star Player [free]: This one was doing the rounds of Twitter last week so some of you may have heard about it. Built for the UEFA Champions League and Heineken by AKQA, it's one for the football fans.

9. Wkly - Graceful Week Numbers [free]: This is another one Patrik's using and he says he likes it because 'it's  simply beautiful. It's use case is mainly for users needing to lookup week numbers as the calendar in the iPhone doesn't support this feature'. He also adds a helpful hint: it's free in the App Store today only!

10. Typeplace [$0.99]: We tweeted this out not too long ago but some of you may have missed it. Typeplace is a typography-based game: share the kinds of type around you with your friends, and get points.
