Shameless SXSW PanelPicker Voting Request

I'm not going to beat around the bush pretending that I'm just telling you about some talks.

Nope.

Honestly, I'd really like it if lots of people voted for these two panels that I'm hoping to be part of March at SXSW Interactive 2012. They're both really fascinating and relevant topics and both should appeal to a broad spectrum of people who are interested in making more successful and engaging digital products, services and experiences.

Do read on...

1 - Learning to Place Little Bets

Somehow I managed to trick my way into a panel proposal from Gareth Kay. I'm hugely flattered that G-Dog Gareth has asked me to be on a panel with W+K's Global Interactive Executive Creative Director Iain Tait and Peter Sims, author of the book Little Bets: How Breakthrough Ideas Emerge from Small Discoveries. I clearly don't deserve it, but hey - there you go. Now I know why Gareth gave me a copy of Little Bets in April when I visited him in San Francisco to give a talk about the way we work. Beware of geeks bearing gifts. But it is a massively inspiring book if you're into making new stuff, and trying to do it fast and iteratively

You can find more details about this panel (and vote for it) here.

2 - Fake It 'Til You Make It: Tools For Prototyping

I've also been invited to be on a panel run by Courtney Hemphill from mutant Agile dev shop Carbon Five. We met Carbon Five at SXSW last year, and they gave us this amazing little booklet that we've used again and again in Agile/Lean Start-up group design exercises (the link goes to a page on Edward Boches blog where he describes one of these sessions at Boulder Digital Works in April.  The panel is about how Lean Start-up inspired tools offer strategies for finding a Minimum Viable Product, running experiments in the wild using the whole Internet as a lab, and how to use a variety of prototyping techniques to get the engineering and design working at the speed of thought.

Find out more about this panel (and vote it up) here please.
