This week's curated Slideshare presentations are on the theme of customer development and lean startup methodologies. As a company who follows these principles ourselves, it's rather useful to see how they're being used by others, and indeed see if there are interesting new things we can learn and continue to apply to our work.
1. Alexander Osterwalder is an author and frequent speaker on the subject of customer development. Recently, he spoke at the LIFT '11 conference about designing and testing new businesses. Through a range of examples, he takes us through the characteristics of successful startups and entrepreneurs.
2. Cindy Alvarez runs product management and customer development for KISS Insights. In this presentation, she gives a few useful tips on learning from the customer. I particularly like 'The customer is the expert, you're just the notetaker."
3. This presentation charts the experience of two young entrepreneurs who founded LaunchBit, a business to advise new startups, as well as a couple of other startups, along lean principles.
