Facebook domination in 2 moves

There's a bit in the original film Karate Kid, when Daniel, almost crippled by blows to his leg, assumes the iconic Crane Kick stance and kicks his opponents chin in and knocks him out cold. Brilliant. 

That's basically what Facebook's could do to Google in two really sweet moves. Admittedly, performing those two moves could take a couple of years to pull off, but bear with me for a moment.

A manifesto for Agile strategy: oxymoron or innovation?

You can talk and think about stuff for ages and ages before doing something or other. Why not just do something straight away and learn from that?

London was basking in unexpected sunshine and Tim Malbon (aka @malbonster) and I were wolfing down some fish and chips in Soho. His off-the-cuff comment stopped me cold – chip halfway to mouth – and in one way or another I have been thinking about it ever since (it was 6 months ago!).

Doing over planning‘ might be the simplest way to summarise the Agile philosophy that Made by Many so fervently pursues (a great non-tech articulation of the Agile approach to web apps is Getting Real by 37 Signals).

Moving beyond a shallow definition of “social media”

@bbhlabs sent me a link to this great blog post on the Harvard Business site by David Armano (@armano).

I say “great” because David sets out an approach that’s core to our thinking and practice here at Made by Many – namely, the use of visual design to develop and articulate strategy. (Armano is a true awesomeist, especially in terms of visual thinking, and if you don’t read his blog Logic + Emotion, then you should.)
