The next step in the evolution of employee volunteering

Today is a big day for a charity we have collaborated with for the last two years.
Last night v announced the launch of Volunteering Works, a web-based tool that helps businesses implement, deliver and monitor corporate volunteering initiatives.
We worked with v to create vinspired.com, a service that connects young people to volunteering opportunities. The vinspired model is a social marketplace that makes it easy for young people to discover and apply for the opportunities that suit them best.
We then developed an API and vanilla client application. Together, these enable v to offer a white label volunteering service that helps corporations and charities run their own (branded) volunteering programmes: this is Volunteering Works.
Volunteering Works takes the vinspired model to a new group of people – companies and their employees – and helps them connect with the opportunities that matter to them. The model has been tailored to serve the needs of businesses:
- Built-in social marketing: employees can share their experiences and inspire each other through individual profiles, activity streams and social tools
- Real-time reporting: HR managers can set targets for the volunteering programme and monitor progress as it happens.
- One cohesive view of volunteering: employers can see who volunteers already, what causes matter to them, how much time they give and what skills they are developing
At the launch event at The Hospital club in London last night v's CEO, Terry Ryall, also announced the new vinspired iPhone volunteering app now available in the iStore.
vinspired.com, Volunteering Works and the iPhone app were designed and built by Made by Many.
