How do you celebrate 25 years at the top of your game? If you’ve got a big birthday on the horizon, you want to mark it in suitable style, which is what BBH asked us to help them do in 2008

A few weeks after we set up shop in the midst of BBH, the agency approached us to help them create a special memento for their 25th anniversary. They wanted to make something that was reflective but not backward-looking and celebrated the impact the agency and the thousands of people who have worked for it over the years have had on the industry. 

Our approach

We took this as an opportunity to showcase the most unique, compelling aspects of BBH’s culture. We worked closely with Ben Malbon and Mel Exon from BBH Labs to develop an idea that would showcase the character and culture of the BBH micro-network. Very quickly, a theme emerged: people.

How it all went

The result was The Blacklist, an interactive family tree of all 2,594 people BBH has ever worked with: who they are, where they came from, where they are now, the things they like, and their best BBH moments.

We represented every single person with a bio-cube, all of which zoomed around the screen and formed various shapes.
