Showtime is a premium American television network known for offering a diverse range of original series, movies, documentaries, and sports content such as Twin Peaks, Homeland, and Billions.
Made by Many partnered with Showtime for an 8-week project to redesign SHO.com to address cord-cutting, enhance content discovery, and streamline the signup and subscription process.
Understanding Showtime’s subscribers and potential customers
We rapidly gained a deep understanding of, and empathy for, subscriber and non-subscriber needs by speaking to users. We mapped new flows and modelled and optimised customer conversion to online subscriptions for the business.
An adaptive design system
Working collaboratively with Showtime’s team, we created a design system of re-usable core components and patterns extracted from our high fidelity designs. We designed the system to be super-easy to update and manage, so that it would be as useful as possible for Showtime’s design and development teams working on future SHO.com projects.
Supporting the Showtime design and development team
We plan and adapt our engagements to fit our clients resources and timeframes. After we delivered key designs and prototypes we worked in a reduced capacity to support the Showtime team with site-wide design and development. This meant their team had a clear path forward to complete the redesign of SHO.com and had informed recommendations for future product opportunities to explore.
